PRIORITIES
Bring better-paying jobs to our counties, which often don’t get the economic development resources that urban areas do.
Fully fund public education, as is required by the 2018 Martinez vs.Yazzie decision, to ensure all students—especially low-income, Native American, English language learner (ELL), and students with disabilities— receive the opportunities they need to prepare them to be college and career-ready.
Champion rural and tribal communities and elevate infrastructure to a top priority. Improvements in our roads and acequias; access to sewer and water; and equitable distribution of reliable, high-speed internet are necessities to the health, education, and prosperity of this district.
Expand healthcare and social services, including funding mental health, addiction treatment, and domestic violence programs and supporting our veterans, youth, seniors, and elders as they age.
Protect our natural resources for today and for our future, guaranteeing clean and safe drinking water for all and safeguarding the traditional and agricultural uses of water.
